L'Association du Millénaire compte un nouveau membre.

Jacques Rossat, Economiste, ancien directeur d'ENSA a décidé d'apporter son soutien au Millénaire.

Musicien dans l'âme, il est très actif dans les milieux culturels, notamment au Conseil de fondation du Centre Culturel Neuchâtelois ainsi qu'au Conseil de fondation de l'Ensemble Symphonique Neuchâtelois.

The Batz, an old currency of Neuchâtel, will be employed again during the Millennium celebrations. In a commemorative spirit, the Millennium Batz will open up the way to new commercial trades, since the storekeepers of Neuchâtel will help and support the currency by enabling payments with the Batz.

Being a commemorating currency of these thousand years, those who wish can carefully keep their Batz.

The festivities commemorating the thousand-year-old anniversary of the city of Neuchâtel will begin on the 24th of April 2011 and will end, after five months of intense moments, during la Fête des Vendanges, on the 25th of September 2011. The Millennium organization has unveiled a rich, diversified and uniting pre-programm, inscribed in the theme « Neuchâtel in another light ». From intimist events to mass and collective celebrations, the Millennium promises a beautiful, user-friendly and thrilling celebration.

The Museum of Art and History at the heart of the Millennium

The Millennium festivities will permit to discover the city of Neuchâtel in an original way, linking historical knowledge and events. The exhibition of the Museum of Art and History has a central place in the programm, since it will complete the intended events with the richness of its scientific content and at the same time, will benefit from the artistic contribution coming from these events.

Millennium Productions and associated programming

The events include the Millenium’s productions and large mass gatherings fully organized by the city of Neuchâtel. It also consists of the associated programming that unites selected projects supported by cultural, social and sportive associations which are financially supported by the Millennium Association.

Les festivités commémorant le millième anniversaire de la Ville de Neuchâtel promettent de beaux moments à la population neuchâteloise. Débutant le 24 avril 2011 prochain, elles s'échelonneront sur une durée de cinq mois et termineront avec la Fête des Vendanges. En plus de 40 manifestations émanant d'acteurs culturels et sportifs, les événements phares seront présentés dans un programme complet et en accord avec la thématique "Neuchâtel vu autrement".
